Machu Picchu 6 days / 5 nights

Nice experience with family and/or friends, we start the excursion in the city of Cusco, we will visit its typical streets, the temple of the sun called Koricancha, the cathedral adorned with paintings of Cusco, also the visit to the ruins of Sacsayhuamán, the next day the beautiful Sacred Valley of the Incas; appreciate its fields of corn and potato crops. Also visit the experimental center of Moray and the Maras salt mines; finally the long-awaited visit to the Inca citadel of Machu Picchu and appreciate its different religious sites, the agricultural area, which still endure despite the time. Ideal to book months in advance.

Lima – Cusco

Flight from Lima to Cusco. Excursion to Cusco and surrounding areas.

Day 01.- Reception at the Cusco airport, transfer to your hotel, and general briefing by our representative. In the afternoon, our guide will be back at your hotel. We will begin our tour of the Plaza de Armas, the Cathedral, the Temple of the Sun (Koricancha), and typical Inca streets. We will also visit the Sacsayhuaman ruins, located in the upper part of the city and ideal for taking souvenir photos. We will also visit the Quenco Amphitheater, Puca Pucara, and the “Baños de la Ñusta” (Baths of the Ñusta) in Tambomachay. We will return to the hotel.

Cusco – Sacred  Valley of the Inca`s.

Day 02.- After breakfast at the hotel, our guide will be present for the excursion to the Sacred Valley of the Incas, we begin the day with a nice experience, on the way to Pisac, visit the artisan center of Awanacancha, appreciate the family of the auquénidos, such as the llama, alpaca, vicuña, animal of very fine wool and the guanaco. Then we continue to the artisan market of Pisac, appreciate the local population maintaining the Inca commercial system called “trueque”, exchange of product for product. Continue the tour and delight in a country lunch, at the hacienda house “Orihuela”, which still preserves some pieces from the Inca period and some paintings from the Cusco School, finally visit the Inca town of Ollantaytambo, which still preserves its Inca homes and streets, then return to the hotel.

Cusco – Machu Picchu

It is, without a doubt, the opportunity to appreciate Inca architecture in all its splendor.

Day 03.- After breakfast, we will head to the train station with our guide. We will receive a briefing before boarding the train to Machu Picchu. Along the way, we will admire the beautiful chain of snow-capped mountains, the starting point of the Inca Trail, and Inca terraces once used for agricultural purposes. We will finally arrive at the Aguas Calientes train station. We will notice the change in weather, and our guide will direct you to the bus station to the ruins. We will visit the “Lost City of the Incas” for a chance to take many photos, followed by lunch. We will return to Cusco for an overnight stay.

Machu Picchu – Cusco

Day 04.- After breakfast, you can optionally visit the “Sun Gate” or climb Wayna Picchu. In the afternoon, after lunch, return to the Ollantaytambo train station. Our representative will meet you for your return to Cusco. Overnight at the hotel.

Visit Maras and Moras Arqueological sites

Day 05.- After breakfast, our guide will meet you at your hotel. We will then head to the town of Chinchero, located 28 km from Cusco. This town is surrounded by beautiful landscapes and farmland, a very important agricultural site today and in Inca times. We will also be able to appreciate colonial-style buildings and the typical market. Continuing the excursion, we will visit the picturesque town of Maras, located 52 km from Cusco at an altitude of 3,380 meters. This town is known for its salt mines; salt is still extracted there today. Continue with a visit to Moray, a group of circular terraces of different sizes. During Inca times, they were used as an agricultural experimental center, where they carried out studies on plant adaptation to new ecosystems. After the visit, enjoy a country lunch and return to the hotel.

Day 6.- Our representative will be present at the agreed-upon time and will escort you to the airport for your return flight to catch your international flight. End of our services.
